    Hey guys

    Been following this forum for a while and find myself in need of a new tv. Obviously have been through the reems of reviews on various panels.
    Have narrowed it done to two; either the 42PFL8404 or the Philips 42PFL9664 (might be stretching the budget).
    Tv will be used for blu rays, ps3 gaming and upgrading to hd soon.
    My main concern about the 8404 would be the processing system used which many reviews say hamper its picture quality. Is there significant lag experienced when plying hd games?

    Looking forward to the quotes and any other info you wish to provide

    did a decent bit of research into lag on these tvs. you will have basically all processing off to play any game that requires low lag (game Mode), 8404 and 9664 both do well. basically unnoticable for gaming use. not the best out there but good

    Both TV's are excellent choices and both can be taylored to suit different devices on different inputs - basically you can have one set of image paramaters on say HDMI 1 (Colour, Sharpness, contrast, different processing modes etc) set up for your BR player, another on HDMI 2 for your DVD player etc.

    There is a game mode preset on both these TV also which you could activate on which ever input your game console is hook upto - or you can set your own preferences for that input

    The TV's are VERY versatile in this regard!

    The sale price on the 42PFL8404 is €899.99 - you get a 4 year extended warranty with this range
    The 42PFL9664 has a sale price of €1619.99 and you get a 5 year extended warranty with this.

    PLEASE NOTE - the extended warranty offers finish on the 31st Dec promptly!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph.
