Windows 7 Media Centre Issues

    Hi,
Got a Dell Inspiron Zino HD over the Christmas to stick under the TV as a media centre.
Having a strange problem with Live TV. Most of the time the picture will just freeze for a couple of seconds at a time with sound perfect etc and then every 10 minutes or so I get a blue background with a low bit rate message which will stay on screen for a couple of minutes and return to displaying video or will disappear immediately when I change the channel.
I've googled and there are many examples of this happening. I'm using an AVERTV Hybrid Volar HX USB card connected connected to an NTL Pace stb using composite cable, however from googling this issue does not appear tied to any specific TV card.
I wiped the machine and setup Vista on one partition and a clean Windows 7 install on another partition. No problem with Live TV in Vista MCE, but exact same problems still happening in Windows 7 MCE. All the latest drivers for Windows 7 for the TV card and video card are installed.
Anyone else come across any of the above problems in Windows 7 MCE and solved them?

Hi talla. Yes I'm having the same issue. I'm using the AVerTV Duo Hybrid PCI-E card with a UPC stb connected through s-video (i.e. analogue) and the basic analogue channels connected to the analogue connection. I have googled the issue also but found nothing concrete on the cause.

If I get a chance one of the days I will try to test to see if the issue occurs with just the scart connected as I thought it may be due to a intermittently weak signal on the analogue channels. I assume the stb provides a high enough bit rate.

It seems to me to be a media centre issue as I did not have this issue when using Vista MCE before I upgraded to 7MC. I would be interested to hear if anybody else is experiencing this issue also as it is a real nuisance.
