I had to laugh at the neck of Fair City "star" Tatianna Ouliankina. Sorry love but if you are on Fair city it officially means you cannot act! As for that "Belonging to Laura" drama just proves it! Poor Oscar Wilde must be spinning in his grave! Too sexy for Corrie?? More like its actually a good programme and you can t act to save your life honey!:D

Sorry Tatianna...but you're much too sexy for streets of Corrie

    Wednesday December 16 2009

Former Fair City star Tatianna Ouliankina was turned down for a role in Coronation Street -- because she was too glamorous.
Tatianna, who played tragic Russian Lana in the RTE soap, went all out to look her best for her audition.
But the soap's bosses decided they wanted someone who sported a most downtrodden look.
"The day of the audition, I obviously wanted to look my best," Tatiana told the Diary.
"I was decked out, looking fabulous, I mean Coronation Street is a big deal. When they saw me however, they said, 'No, we need you looking tired and completely rundown by life'.
"And I said, 'Why the hell would you turn up at an audition looking rundown?'
"I was so annoyed because they ended up taking a woman who arrived in wearing no make-up, looking terrible.
"So that was a big blow, but I would never show up for a casting with no make-up. They can forget it," she said.
In a candid interview with TV Now, mum-of-two Tatianna revealed that she was on her "high horse" when she left Fair City -- and that her ambitions for a successful acting career in London hasn't taken off.
    Pregnant
"They wrote me out of the show pretty quickly, but then I got pregnant. So any London plans were finished for me because I couldn't show up for castings with a bump -- unless they were looking for a pregnant lady," she explained.
"Now don't get me wrong, obviously, I was so happy to have my second child, but it was just unexpected.
"And to be fair, I was totally on my high horse when I left Fair City. I thought I'd leave the show and get amazing parts in London, but that didn't go as planned."
Tatianna is now starring in TV3's Belonging to Laura. This is her first big role since she quit Fair City two years ago.
Tatianna, who is mum to John Alexander (9), and two-year-old Michael, describes the film as a modern retelling of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan, and reveals her character Sasha causes much heartbreak.
And she's hopeful that the TV3 film could lead to a break for her in London.
"It was actually made as a television drama for TV3 but there's also a big screen version as well, so I think it'll be shown in London. That could be great for my profile there," she said.

It is common knowledge that you turn up at a casting looking as close as you can to the character you are reading for.
    What is she on?

Yeah, you go in and give them the best idea of your interpretation of the character. If they are meant to be downtrodden, I certainly wouldn't go in looking like a fairy princess. Maybe not wash my hair that day and scratch the make up.

Dunno, never heard of it either!.

Too glam or sexy for Corrie, what a joke - Carla beats her hands down.

    She just can't act.

He said he got the role by showing up at the interview with several people. He did not smile or speak or sit, but stood in a corner in rigid attention posture, like the stereotypical Klingon warrior. When called, he marched into the room, scowled, and shook the interviewer's hand sharply. After reading, he gruffly thanked the director, and walked out. He attributes this reading in character as a Klingon warrior to getting the part.

Ah, it's such a shame you've never had the chance to see Fair City, what with all your englishness.

    Your surname is Phelan?
I'm guessing I'd have to watch the show to understand that?

    Meehan?

I'm mortally ashamed to be saying that. Billy Meehan was a right aul character, being bad ass and kicking Carol around the place.

Til Lorcan took a driver to his head.

It just gets worse and worse.

Aye! Christian Bale freaked out the person auditioning him for American Psycho.
He went for a "dinner meeting" decided to stay in character.
Dude had to ask him to stop as it was freaking him out too much. :pac:

I did not know that. I'm gonna start casting for my new film. It's main character is a gorgeous nudist who likes to bounce up and down on a small trampoline. I look forward to the casting session. :)
