lighter gas

    OK im getting really stuck for red or green gas for tomorrow and all i have is 134a gas does any1 know can i use lighter gas in my mags or is this just grasping at straws.

    It's butane, it lacks the pressure as far as I know.

    You can but your gas gun will turn into a low pressure fog machine.

    How would it produce fog?
    But "lighter gas" (butane) has a lower pressure then 134a gas, so not much help there I'm afraid.

    Ya thats what i thought but i was hoping i was wrong. .the 134a gas just wont work the marui pistols or my kjw 700.Well thats 4 guns out the window for tomorrow.thanks guys

    ok i have another idea what if i used the adapters that you get with lighter gas and used it with the gas canisters from nail guns????Good idea or blow up in my face idea?

    Well what gas does a nail gun use? Test it by pulling the trigger with a string and the gun taped to a tree perhaps? That is how one tests homebuilt firearms anyway. Read the can of gas to find out what is in it.

    Most nail guns I've used have been CO2 or compressed air powered, if your pistols take a 12g CO2 cartridge you can use them in a CO2 pistol, otherwise your screwed man sorry! Were are you based? your local retailer might be open tomorrow!

    its propane i use them all the time but its adapting the nozzle to fit the mag but im hoping the selection of nozzle that come with lighter gas will work.

    no theres no where open tomorrow and i don't think it would be a homemade fire arm?Its just adapting the mag to take propane with i already have used in my guns and have been under 1 joule

    ah well I use propane in some of my gear, works grand :) although I bought a propane adapter here

    Ya that would be perfect but this is really a bob the builder job just to get me through the weekend.ill let you know how i get on and if it works ill throw up a little vid for some others stuck in the same predicament or with a mass storage of nail gas
