Can a person love more than one person

    My boyfriend hit me with something I feel is a bombshell today. He has been in love with one of my best friends since before he went with me. He never acted on it and he never did anything to jeopardise my friendship with my friend. But I am gutted. We have been together 3 years and he says he still loves her but loves me and our young child more. I have not been the best girlfriend ever but that really hit me hard.

    Can a man love more than one woman?

    Yeah to a point. I dont think that this is a good situation though, if he had any sense he'd stop being friends with her till he's over it.

    Just gutted - how are you not the best girlfriend/partner??

    Relationships grow and what he has said is he fancies your friend and in itself thats no big deal. Lots of guys have ideas but dont act on them and silly stupid stuff gets said at Xmas.

    The bigger deal is how you are going to improve the quality of the relationship over the coming year.

    You cannot be In Love with 2 woman. Why did he start going out with you if he was in love with your friend ? He was in love with your friend, but never acted on it, instead decided to go out with her mate. Why did he say it to you now ?

    He probably doesn't ''love'' her as such. He might fancy her, but not love her. In that case, that is totally normal. Don't be too worried about it :)

    Hi girls, a man can definately love more than one woman depending on the size of his bed. Men really can be fools sometimes. But be more attentive in the sack and you just might win him back.:)

    We decided to be fully honest with each other because we both had things we were hiding and this was his. He admits he is in love with her and seeing her with other men crushes him. I mean how do you grasp that, I was pregnant with our child and he still loved her. He still adores her today apparently.

    Oooh this is interesting, perhaps he mightnt have had any sort of feelings for anyone else if you werent sleeping with exs/ spanish/ randoms every time he went home for a weekend?

    Ooops the truth or dare game. What is the next item -do you invite her around and ask her if she has feelings for him.

    What are you guys trying to do build on your relationship or wreck it.

    The guy already said he loves you and his child more.

    Are you sure you are not pushing him until you get the asnswers that you want.
