Trouble keeping connection with specific router

Hey guys, had the wii back at my folks for christmas day and it hooked up to their wireless router no problem, was able to play mario kart and WAW no problem for more than an hour each.

But I can't seem to hold the connection with my own router, can't get through one death match or one whole race without it loosing the connection.

And this happens when no other machine is using the router. Any ideas? Do I need to get a new/better router, is there such a thing?
