 so santa brought my brother and sister a new ipod nano each. lovely now they have turned to me to set them up etc...
i have a ipod nano already the old version,( only a mere 2gb) the first one and i have my own apple id and therefore itunes store account.

is it possible for me to use this account with the two new ipods??

i just dont no how to do it, on the laptop we all have seperate account would it be better to register etc them in each indivials account or just register them in my named account that has itunes up and runnin or does this even effect it??

and also how do i allow for each of them to be able to take music from my account??---- or would it just be easier to copy and paste music onto a usb and then into their own aaccount

apologies for such silly basic question's, i really am a applephobixc at heart i jst cant atand all the confusion ipod create!!!:(

The simple option is to use one windows profile with Itunes and when you set up each iPod click the 'manage music manually' tick box. This means you drag what ever songs you like onto each iPod. Also all music ripped by all iPod users will be shown on this iTunes.

There is another way of creating mulitiple profiles on windows. In each profile start iTunes, go to settings- advanced and point the address of iTunes library to the same folder for all accounts. Eg, in the c drive of your computer create a folder called iTunesShared. Point all the iTunes profiles to this folder. When a user adds a cd to his/her acount it will automatically show up in their iTunes. The other users can then add that cd to their Itunes by clicking file add folder and in the c:/iTunesshared.

That's the jist, give it a go

Hold the shift button down as you are opening iTunes, this gives you the option to select or create an iTunes Library, each of you do that for your own accounts and create separate iTunes libs for all iPods, also create one for all music so if you are listening to music at home via the laptop all of the music is available for playing.

I use four iPods with the same account, just be sure to name them differently to avoid confusion.

You can choose which playlists get sync'ed with which iPod, so all users can have different tracks from the same library.

The only issue that you might have is the other users buying tracks with your credit card - you can decide whether you want the others to know the account password ;)
