upgrading HP computer hardrive

    i have an old hp 7600 xp computer with an 40gb hard drive,i want to upgrade it but find some of the serial ata aspects bit confuseing,anyways i made note of the serial no and entered it into google to show you what sort of hard drive i have at the mo,if anyone can point me in the right direction where to get a bigger hard drive that suit if off ebay/or any irish comp sites i be grateful,here are the specs of current HD

    SATA II (Which is largly the standard nowadays) is back compatible with SATA I (Which you have).So you can use pretty much any drive out there,although they willl probably bottleneck because of the interface.Anyway,I'll go ahead and recommend the Samsung F3 500GB,its one of the best performing drives going and its quite cheap at €46
