Time flies fast - the next sketch meeting is right ahead of us! As the weather conditions were a problem the last time, we will meet inside the Franciscan Well and grab one of the big tables.

Please notice: This time we switch to TUESDAY, to give those a chance who can't make it on Thursdays.

It is illegal for under 18's to be in a pub after 9 (even if you don't plan on drinking) so unfortunately this is not an option for you.

Please note that the charter states that boards.ie don't tolerate discussions that encourage illegal activities so please do not continue to discuss the matter.

The last Drink & Draw was a great evening for all of us, so feel very much invited to the next sketch meet in the Franciscan Well on Thursday, 4th.

After a few weeks of switching around between Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and Hayloft/Franciscan Well it's definitely time to stop the confusion, promised! :) We now are clear about what days might suit us best and what location we like most. So from now on:

    • The Drink & Draw's are going to take place in the Franciscan Well in future.
    • The days will be Tuesday and Thursday by turn every fortnight.

If you're still not sure when the next meeting will be, just have a look at this blog or our Facebook Group events, I always keep them up to date.

Looking very much forward to the next Drink & Draw!

Hey hoping to come join you guys in the Franciscan later on next week, in the mean time does anyone here know of any evening leisure classes in life drawing in Cork city? Just need to brush up after many years of neglect and thought a class would be fun! I know about the St johns one, just wondering if there are any others? Would need to be evenings as I work till after 6 most days of the week. Thanks

I don't think that they are! Perhaps ask them on that page but as far as I know it is open to all. Fingers crossed :)

Thanks, I just sent them a message to ask. Technically I'm only on hiatus till I go back for a masters next year anyway so... :)

Are you a member? Might see you there sometime!

Nope cos I'm actually in Dublin for the last while (eek 6 years can't believe it!!) - so I have DublinSketchers to keep me occupied! The Cork Drink and Draw is a great group too - I'm sure you'll enjoy it :)

@ Sapsorrow: I'm not a student anymore either and I was still welcome, though most of the guys are from UCC of course. I was at the life drawing once and it was fun, make sure to come early to get a seat. They just don't do nude life drawing (since it's public and free) but still it's a great chance to study drapery, portrait and posing.

And Cork_girl is right, we're totally awesome =P Hope to see you around soon in the Franciscan Well!
