When radio / TV stations have phone in competitions they frequently require that some general knowledge questions be answered (legal reasons?). In recent times you might be expected to accurately ascertain the number of legs on a dog or some such. But I wonder it is possible to ask a somewhat more challenging general knowledge question (as opposed to a puzzle/riddle like one) which some of the general public are likely to know but which Google doesn't?

    Google is all knowing. Fact.

Absolutely not. Google has the knowledge of a million men, your average Irish person has the knowledge of a small child.

Feckers! If I was trying to make a website more high profile it wouldn't be half as quick of the mark.

I suppose any question, if there is one, would have to multi-pronged. i.e. Q: What royal wedding and assassination of a head of state share an anniversary?

What Mr. S said, they make the question easy for lots of people will text in at a €1 per text making them lots of money.

The stations don't care about the question, thats just the incentive to text in. They choose a simple question so they get the maximum amount of people texting/calling in, so they get a good profit:)

    Easy question = $$$
    Hard Question = $$$

But then you get stations like FM104 doing the Big Kahuna, getting people to answer a question that's incredibly difficult but it incites people to listen to the station, increasing their audience, therefore being able to charge more for advertising on the station.

The only ones not google-able are "beat the intro" style games, where they play the first few seconds of a song and you have to guess the song. Google isn't that advanced.......yet

According to Google trends, the term "Google" is searched for more than the terms "God", "Jesus", "Allah", "Buddha", "Christianity", "Islam", "Buddhism" and "Judaism" combined.

Ah I completely forgot about Google Trends - they can be hilarious

If you look here, you'll notice that less people search for 'fatty' at Christmas!!

I suppose an image question, where you're shown the image but have to answer who painted it or what was it called.

Though you could use google to confirm you had the right answer, if you were to guess.

I sort of assume that if Google don't know, I can safely conclude that the interweb don't know.

It's possible to make it difficult to find using google. We used to do a quiz in work most days and send it around to mates in various jobs through email. Rotating who makes it up. When it was my turn i would think of questions and then try find the answer in google. I would try loads of variations until i found a question that wouldn't come up without searching for ages. Since we had a time limit on the quiz it cut down on people cheating. Any time i made the quiz it would always have the lowest amount of correct anwsers.

    Speaking of Google:

If you sing the Streets song "Let's Push Things Forward" with updated lyrics it sounds stupid:

"You won't find us on Altavista
    Cult classic, not best-seller"

"You won't find us on Google
Cult classic, not best-[something that rhymes with Google]"

    Man, I'm so hungover. :(

Be careful - if you type 'Google' into Google, you will break the internet.

Where do people go to search for Google?

Surely if you're www.google.com you don't need to search any more.

It's one of things you have to do before you die, like looking up 'Dictionary' in a dictionary.

If you can find 2 million squirt porn websites in 0.13 seconds then I very much doubt that it cant find anything Adrian Kennedy might throw at you.
