Neighbours alarm going - removed its battery and elec fuze - still going!

    Dont understand whats keeping this alarm going, it must have another battery source as we have powered off the house and same.

    sab unit in bell box kicks in..battery back up should stop after 20 mins.note you should not do this as you are leaving yourself open to an insurance claim in event of break in

    The bell has been going for 4 hours despite taking the fuze out and removing backup battery in the alarm control box.

    sorry cant help any more.there is a back up battery in the outside bell box which may run out if all other sources are disconnected.

    Its Ireland, It probably is the case.

    I did it with the tenants permission (well he is renting)

    No sleep tonight so. He doesnt have much money I think and wasnt in a great rush to get someone. Ive disabled the noise inside the house so the pressure is off him now to abandon the place.

    Some holiday this is going to be.

    My gas isnt working / no pilot light on the boiler. Lots of drama today.

    Its an old system. Phoned alarm co that installed it for free advise.
    They said its an old system and it should stop within 8 hours of starting as its going non stop and it has only an internal battery.

    So ear plugs at the ready now and please god it stops during the night.

    Alarm stopped after 48 hours. The last 24 hours was a beep every 4 seconds. It eventually died at 6am. The relief.
