Add pictures to icons on iPod touch home screen?

    I have an iPod touch and when I add an icon from the Internet (when you press + it shows the option 'add to home screen') it comes up on the home screen as a blank grey icon and I'm just wondering is there anyway to get a picture onto that icon?

    I'm pretty sure it depends on the site's use of a "favourite icon" (favicon). For example, if I add the low-graphics BBC News site (http://news.bbc.co.uk/low) to my home screen, the shortcut has the BBC logo, without needing me to do anything.
