Anyone know what 5 down could be? Have two possible answers but can't figure out why either of them would be the answer...

Just in case you aren't aware of it, there is a Crosaire Blog (http://www.crosaire.paxient.com/), although I can't help with the Christmas Crosaire. I'm an ex-pat, and sadly the Christmas Crosaire didn't make it to the online version of the Irish Times. Good luck though ... I hear there's a prize :)

Not loving 5 down either - have either 'yonder' which makes no sense really or 'yonner' which is a bit slangy. 3D is annoying me too - can anyone explain why it might be 'cave'?

3D: Beware of the whole of the sound of this.
    5D: Who is that peasant?

    35A - Possibly

Help would be much appreciated. I have the rest.

cutting it close but is one across: "flocks by night" or is it "at night"?

I have 5D: who is that peasant? in as tinker or it could be tender as well...
