    Hi all,

Just picked up an Brand New Boxed (with fan) Intel Q9400 Core 2 Quad (LGA775, 2.66Ghz, 6Mb Cache) for 47.97Euros instead of 319.99Euros in PC World Dundalk :D. One was left on the shelf, not sure if this is something they are doing in all PC World but sure is a bargain (even if the original price was way overpriced!)

Holy crap thats cheap. I would say it was only the one in Dundalk, they couldn't be clearing them out as they're still fairly recent.

    Was it a refurbished model?

    A cpu can't be refurbished.

Holy crap, i have the Q9300, so it's not much of an upgrade, although i think that cpu has hardware virtualisation activated. At that price i might just buy it and sell it on ebay or something.

I've just checked their website finally, and they don't even have any opening hours on it!! Rather amateurish on their part. Assuming they have the same opening hours nationwide, can anyone tell me what time their local PC world opens at?! In return, I can give a low-down on what other special offers there are in PC world Dundalk today.:D

P.S. the phone number rings out for them too.

Went to Blanchardstown myself today in the hope I finding something, but saw the same.

    How disappointing.

Off topic, but generally speaking it seems the sales this year are dismal. Very little effort on the part of many shops - a small smattering of typically poor stock put aside for meagre discounts and that's it. Only decent sale I saw was in River Island.

Thought retail was desperate for sales!
