I'd always get the pci(internal)card. No chance of it been knocked/pulled or tuged out of its port.

Only time I have seen a USB wireless gongle is with 3g broadband off the mobile phone providers here and the signal is ****e(although I'd say thats more to do with the network)

    EDIT:dont get a Belkin!!!

Yeah I was thinking of going with PCI myself. Just for picking up wireless from downstairs. Was thinking on par that the xbox 360 uses a USB one, so was thinking maybe it's not that bad? (or maybe it's on a different level)

Also, I'm on a 2mb connection and when I'm on my PC here now, the connection is 100MBPS (into my PC), so when buying will I look for one which recieves 100mbps?

Not what he's on about, You're getting mixed up, a mobile internet dongle like vodafone or 3 is not what he means. He means a usb wifi reciever which sometimes come in a set with a router or can be bought on their own, like this one

I'd go with the pci one myself, they are ok as long as the antenna isn't blocked from recieving the signal. The usb ones have very little circuitry and usually don't perform well.
