Can I use this just like a normal wi-fi router? It says it will work with PC/Mac but will it work with a PS3 wirelessly?

Yup. You should have no trouble.

If you do, it's due to the way you've set it up. I use one with my PS3.

    Sound thanks very much.

Could someone also advise me whether its more effective to go for the 8gb Ram upgrade or go with the better graphics card on a MBP 15"?

Personally, I'd go for the graphics card. I don't know how anyone would need 8GB RAM in a personal computer! (yet! maybe in 2020)

Ok cool, and one last question (phew) does the mbP work with a Cisco EPC2425 router supplied by UPC?

All these things are standardized. Of course they'll work!
