hello and merry christmas to all,

was driving up to dublin from kildare yesterday and to my amazement didnt see anyone slow down, apart from myself, at the speed camera sign in lucan near where the spa hotel is or used to be, some people were easily excedding 150 or 160 km/hr, however i didnt see any flashes or indeed the camera itself only the sign, can anyone tell me is there a speed camera in operation here?

    thanks

There used to be a fixed one there at the spa hotel but I dont think its there since they did the upgrade on the road. The fact that nobody is slowing down is a good indicator that its not there anymore.

Yeah the fixed camera isn't there anymore but the Gardai love to station the Gatso vans on that stretch of road - the Newcastle underpass heading east/west, the bus stop by the old entrance to Esker Lane and near the exit for Woodies heading east are the three most popular spots.
