    Hi Guys,

    I'm trying to set up my tcd mail with Mac Mail 4.0. Has anybody had any luck setting it up? The only instructions I've found on the TCD website apply to Mac Mail 2. Thanks folks!

    Mail hasn't changed that much. It should be fairly straight forward. What are you having difficulty with?

    Yeah it should just work but it isn't. I've tried it on a couple of macs running mail. I have two other email accounts set up with mail. My NUIM one and Gmail. TCD mail seems to be based on gmail and I tried applying the same settings as I have on my gmail account but it didn't work. I also tried the recommended settings from Trinity's IT dept-it still didn't work. Thanks for the reply!

    Not sure if you got it sorted, but here are my setting for TCD with Mail:

    Incoming: imap.gmail.com
    ->Port: 993 (Use SSL)
    -> Authentication: Password

    Username: name@tcd.ie

    Outgoing: smtp.gmail.com
    -> (Use Secure Socket Layer)
    -> Authentication: Password
    -> Username: name@tcd.ie

    I use the exact same settings for the gmail one and it works for me. The only difference between Timay's is that my incoming server is pop.gmail.com.

    If it's not working for you make sure your settings in tcd mail have pop enabled and imap enabled. It's up and running for me now!
