My girlfriend is working today and I don't want to stay home watching TV all day... A friend and I want to go play golf but so far no luck in finding a golf course open...

We rang Turvey, Corballis, Hollystown, Elmgreen, Howth, Sillogue and no luck. Does anybody know if a golf course is open in the Dublin North area?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Hi buddy. You can ring all 400 parkland courses in Ireland and you wont find one open. Have you been outside lately?!! :-)
Save yourself some money and ring links courses(ie courses by the sea). Thats your only hope although I think most of them are closed also. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The frost on our greens is 30 cm deep.

Ye of little faith! We played 15 holes in Rush (Links Course). :D

We couldn't use the greens (obvioulsy) but the temporary greens were alright. At least we got out and got some fresh air! Great day for it actually!

We had a good bit of rain here today in the midlands so hopefully no frost tonight & I'll get out for a few holes tomorrow. Didn't know you were into golf steffano - the hobby in the "off season?!!"

You could easily substitute month for day in that title.
    Weather is absolutely shocking.

luttrellstown was open yesterday.we played 3 holes and had to give up.wind was very strong lashing rain and bitter cold.couldnt feel my hands swinging the club .
on the 3rd my mates hand were that numb with the cold that he had no grip on the driver and it went flying out of his hand wen he drove off.
ive played in some bad conditions but yesterday was the worst ever.Ended up going to golfvision in swords which was good craic
