Can you hear the washer pump operating? If so the lines could be frozen or otherwise blocked. Leave it be until a warmer day, should work fine.

Put in motor factors windscreen washer fluid as this lowers the total freezing point and the lines and washer motors will not freeze up.

Washer fluid is basically an alcohol with an additive so as you can't drink it.
Great stuff for cleaning a smeary windscreen too.

I had a problem with a vectra there was a load of gunk about the consistency of silicon before it goes off in the bottom of the bottle blocking the pick.

Once you get access the pump twisted out with a half turn and I was able to clear it.

Blew out the lines with an air line all sorted.

AFAIK Opels are notorious for giving problems with the windscreen washer not working. I believe it is due to the poor design of a valve of sorts in the system.

OP as afore mentioned I would hazard a guess that the cold icy weather is the culpurit.

It's gonna' get cold again for the New year so get a bottle
of the washer fluid and it will keep you motoring thru the next cold snap.

Note: Mercedes heat the little water jet on the bonnet so it won't freeze up BTW !

Some of this will keep the washer water from freezing, but jets may still freeze.

Mine has frozen over a few times while driving. The window would become built up with grit and freeze too it.

Similiar problem here with a 99 Opel Corsa. I've had the problem on warm days too though. I can hear what seems to be the motor and when I go to refill the thing it appears to have plenty of water in it.

Sometimes when I "pump" the washer leaver thing it does come out a little but no where near enough to clear the window.. only reaches less than halfway up.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Thanks

    Viagra ?

    ONLY Joking.
The lines or jets are calked up or blocked up a bit and need to be cleaned out.

I've tried clearing the top of the jet things on the bonnet with a very thin screwdriver but this had no effect.

If it is the lines that are blocked up, how do I go about this?

As for the Viagra .. would CIALLIS do the job? I've had a lot of emails lately with some great prices on the stuff :D

Try at first a reverse blow down the washer jet with some compressed air.

Then if that don't work, remove the washer motor,a nd blow down the lines again.

Consider getting new jets (cheap normally) as they can block up with lime from hard water areas

You can try using a needle. I use it for clearing the jets and also to position them so they spray right onto the windscreen.

    Heated jets ftw.
