Mate's nipper got a new IPod Touch this morning but when he tried to download ITunes onto this computer to get the ITouch working, computer says
"the installer encountered errors before ITunes could be configured. Your system has not be modified. To retry these operations at a later time please run the installer again."
Any ideas to make his nippers Xmas a little better?
    Cheers

All that description says is "something went wrong" - hard to tell from that. For starters, tell your mate to look at http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ , get the latest version of iTunes if he hasn't already, and select "Run as Administrator" when installing it.

Are you trying to view them in the web-browser or the youTube app?

I'm now having the same problem on my 3g iPod touch. I had a problem installing the latest update where my iPod gets an error while trying to update and gets stuck inrecovery mode. I got around this by updating using a different user account on my mac, but ever sine then the YouTube app has stopped working. Also some of the pre-installed apps, weather, stocks and even mail are giving intermittent problems.
