Your Ideal Christmas Dinner

    I know the tradition is for Turkey, Ham etc but was wondering if you had a choice what would you actually prefer for your Xmas dinner...Mine is Chicken Tikka Masala....

    I don't eat turkey too often, look forward to having it at this time of the year.

    Would choose turkey, roast potatoes and loads of stuffing. Perfect christmas dinner :)

    If we get passed the problem that I'd like the traditional dinner, I'd have to say turkey curry, with bombay aloo (spiced/curried spuds) and a few Tiger beers. Might see if I can make some with the leftover turkey, and the exta one we picked up in Tescos for a tenner.

    Add Spiced Beef from Cork to that mix.
    I also require TK Red Lemonade. Used to be Tanora.
    Also need mayonnaise for obligatory turkey and stuffing sandwiches.
    And maybe a Toblerone. :D

    Haha, my dad makes an awesome turkey curry every Steven's day, it's great as it breaks up the monotony of the same food each day over the xmas :D

    Ice cold Tanora is awesome for a hangover.

    Also I have a friend who moved to Cork from Tipp, but he always goes back home for Christmas so he never had spiced beef before. It's fu[url][/url]cking expensive stuff, but I got him some for Christmas. The bollix better appreciate it.

    My ole fella will do the same, but not on Stephen's day but a few days later. Then he'll freeze it and bring it out in the summer when we haven't had turkey for yonks.

    cant beat spiced beef, cooked mine this afternoon, been eatin nothing but spiced beef sambo's since

    Creamy mashed potatoes with Yorkshire puds dowsed in gravy would be my ideal dinner. I'll be serving Turkey, Ham,.Stuffing, mashed carrots & parnips, roast potatoes, creamy mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, peas, etc. tomorrow for my missus & kids.

    mine is chicken tikka masala too, with some naan bread, some pilau rice , poppadoms with mango chutney and some chips !

    I had that for my dinner this evening (without the chips) and Samosas for starters.

    In Shakira in Dun Laoghaire. Twas scrumdiddly but still feel full 5 hours later!

    For starters: smoked salmon on brown bread with cream cheese and capers

    Main: turkey, honey glazed roast ham, roast sweet potato (regular potatoes for everyone else), brocolli and cauliflower cheese, roast carrots

    -possible cheese course in here-

    Desert: Milk Tray (don't like pudding!)
