That is probably the stupidest thing I've ever seen done on ice.

The driver could have put it in reverse and tried to slow it down somewhat or they could have steered into a bush or something.

First rule in a situation like that is that you dont get out. Cars are designed to take hits, a person on the other hand is not designed to get run over by a car.
