I see on the o2 website that there insurance is €9 a month.
Does anyone know what the difference is, if there is any differce at all?

Hello, I've looked into this and there are some sizable differences between the two. The Cpw insurance cover is much more comprehensive, covering all water damage/accidental damage, while o2's insurance( eagle star) cover these in some situations but not all, it's at their "discretion". Also unauthorised calls in the event of theft/loss is only covered up to 600eu with o2 while Cpw covers up to 2500eu. The o2 terms and conditions state that a claim must be made within 24hours while Cpw allow for 48. There are other differences but I found that those were the key ones. In short I went with Cpw, you get what you pay for in this case at least.
