Hi, I've a train fine due by sunday but it appears the RPU have closed down till the 4th of jan. I was wondering if anyone else might be in the same predicament and if anyone could advise me on what to do?

ive tried ringing them on their 3 numbers and ive sent an email so far.

I assume that if it is due by Sunday that you actually received it a while ago? So, you've already had a number of days to pay it, but you delayed?

Cheats never prosper! You should have paid the proper fare or at least paid the fine on time. You will probably face a criminal prosecution. It is honest fare payers like me who are subsidising you cheats. I hope you are convicted.

You have/had 21 days to pay the fine - that means calendar days.

If you google 'RPA train fine' the second link (after this thread) will take you to a pdf which explains that you can pay in person by laser, cash, or cheque at Connolly and Heuston station dublin.

Otherwise put a cheque or postal order in the post to RPU Manager, Connolly Station, Amiens Street, Dublin 1.

If you don't pay you'll be prosecuted and liable to a fine of up to €1,000 - this may not happen for some time - often up to a year later.

What would you be ringing or emailing them for ?

For Christ's sake has everyone been taking angry pills around here.

OP is merely asking for advice on paying a fine. He appears to accept the fine is due and simply has a question regarding its payment.

    This is not after hours.

    Infracted.
