    Spending a couple of days over christmas with the parents in Dungarvin in waterford. Trying to secure some permission to shoot some of the land round the parents. Just wondering what i could expect to find. Have been told there's a good chance of snipe. Which ive seen down there before just wondering would there be any phesant or are they more inland!

    i do a bit in bunmahon, the land has everything rabbits, fox, snipe woodcock, pheasant and duck. i got in touch with the local nargc man for the region to see if i could join a club that joins onto the land i shoot, got a couple of e mails back from him then never herd from him again, so called into the farmers and got permission to shot on part of the gun club land,

    Lots of pheasants , snipe , mallard , teal, tons of rabbits ,hare, Fallow
    just need the permissions .

    How did ya go , did you get anything , mighty cold around there at the moment, lots of birds about.

    Didnt go for a shoot in the end. Was unshore about asking farmers as noticed quite a few land preserved signs up around the folks though while out walking the mutly saw 3 hens, plenty of snipe and a couple of rabbits. Going to try for next time plenty of land just need the permission!

    sure knock in it ll do no harm, ive herd the gun club in the area has broke up so might be there signs around the place,
