MW2 (PC) when will Aimbot and other cheats be outlawed?

I'm beating my head against a wall every night!!!

It seems that every time I play an online game at least one if not more players are cheating... killcam shows it all. Most are using some version of AIMBOT.

When will IW patch this hole? ... I'm really fed up at this stage.

Yeah it is getting annoying at this stage to be honest. I'm still hoping they will release soem kind of dedicated server package. But i really doubt they will.

The whole time i've been playing the game i've never, ever seen an aimbot, wall hack or any other type of hack.

Hopefully that continues !

No - and unfortunately you are the one that ends up looking stupid if you call people out on it - I have been an anti-cheat admin for years so I have good eye for it and can usually make a good judgement - I still wont accuse unless its a full blown spinny auto-headshot aimbot of some sort - I would wager that many of the players you think have aimbots actually dont

The not-so-secret fact of the matter is that these anti-cheat "solutions" made by IW/evenbalance or in this case valve are primarily ued to stop people who havent bought the game playing multiplayer - after that PB/VAC actually catches very few hackers without manual modifications to the PB/VAC configurations by skilled admins. Ultimately as I already said from IW's perspective a clean player and a hacker are both paid customers - as much as they would prefer if the game was cheat-free it simply wont happen (hacks released on day 1) + they have nothing to gain from spending money on anti-cheat.

Well you were warned before it was released about how easy it would be to hack in this game, and you still gave IW your €60 so I've no sympathy TBH.

Why should we be the fodder for those that choose use an undetectable wall-hack?

Sure it's like Hercule said, you can't tell the difference these days unless it's a blatently obvious cheat like auto-headshot.
And who knows it might even be more fun then getting ripped to shreds every round.

Unless they released dedi servers - and maybe Punkbuster

That way you have some decent form of anti-cheat, plus the ability to have a server admin kick/bann people

I have. Its the fatal flaw of tracking people through walls and popping 180 degree spins shots on queue.

I do on the other hand have no problems with a good shot and the correct use of sound that confuse people.
