Renewable Energy Courses Available

I am looking for a renewable energy course that can be done part-time and possibly as distance learning or over the internet. Some courses are expensive and are there any resonably priced courses. Is there any grants available. I already have a degree in Engineering as well.

There are a number a of post grads, ucc, uuj and sligo it. I think the one is ucc you will need a fist class in your degree and its one year full time now.

the other two are part time as far as i know, i did the one in uuj. it was ok but took three years part time and no grant aswell.

There is masters course in NUIM in Renewable energy systems. To the best of my knowledge it can be done part time and through the internet. It is limited to 20 places I think, although I'm not sure if that includes people doing it part time.

Last year the fees for the course itself was 2000. I dont know if this is liable to change this year.

2000 would not be to bad - I seen courses in Sligo for 6500 or so. Maynooth closer as well. Thanks will look into that. Cheers Anybody actually do that course in NUIM

I was looking for courses like this also. I'm coming from a planning background, what are the chances I'd get accepted!? Would I be completely lost without a engineering or science background?

I would imagine that once it is a level 8 science degree that should qualify. Would you be lost - quite possibly - but if you have a sufficient interest and drive it may make up for this
