truecrypt v otfe encryption programs

    what are the pros and cons of truecrypt and otfe for encrypting usb and external hard drives. should i make copies of anything before installing in case i lose files/folders etc

    are there other programs worth considering

    OTFE just stands for On the Fly. Are you referring to Free-OTFE?

    Both are very similar, and both offer similar algorithms. I'd imagine it's probably an issue of which you feel more comfortable with, as they use similar modes of operation for encrypting disks.
