    (Spelling Fail^^^)

So I got a replacement PS3 of Sony a few months ago and it wasn't played for a month.

Now however when ever I playing a game the fan comnstantly kicks into overdrive for about 20 mins aand then goes back to normal.

It has plenty of room to breathe so I can't see anything to be causeing it to make such sounds.
Does it just need a good dusting down?

    Thanks

Does it happen with any game or a specific one?

I'd say it just needs a good dusting down tbh...

Well all I've been playing was MW2 but I remember a month ago I did play CoD5 and I'm nearly 100% sure it was still puffing away.

my ps3 makes crazy noises , sometimes its sounds like a microwave then it will sound like a hoover , very annoying and it only started doing this since last firmware update, i think sony what me to buy a new one, this one is going to die soon i feel.

Games that are not installed generally require more fan work in my experience.

I don't know why they'd want you to buy a new one, there still selling at a loss. If they wanted to make money from you, they'd try and break your games in the system, or some peripherals.

Mine started to do this and a couple of months later YLOD, I blew out the dust regular, kept the airflow good, but to no avail....it got soo bad even using it as a media extender was becoming unbearable.

Hope this isn't a tell tale sign of the YLOD, I've splashed out €170 for this replacement one FFS. I hoover the vents and give it a go later.

forgot to mention , i had 2 discs break on me in the machine , although they were the same title tiger woods, as it turned out it got a crack in the center ring , i presume that was from a faulty box batch though , i was unlucky enough to get 2, still the fan noise is a pain in the kyber pass

Sorry to hear that mate, but it gave me a lil chuckle. I hope you don't have any future problem with you ps3 or anything relating to the ps3.
