    hi guys!

I have been hunting wild boar for a good few years back in france and had to do my national service as well wich give me the opportunity to shoot with the FAMAS ( french standard machine gun ) and the FRF2 ( french standard sniper rifle ) now i am applying for a rifle licence for deer stalking in ireland in wich i have been living for the past 13 years.
will those references give the gardai enouth proof for the rifle licence???????

thank you in advance for any reply

That experience should be more than enough.

Write a comprehensive letter detailing your training and experience.

You might want to leave out references to specific friearms types such as "machine guns" and "sniper rifles", and say that you have had training and experience with different types of centerfire rifles.

    Best of luck.

Nico not saying your not legit but you referring to the Famas as a "machine gun" makes me wonder .............. it is actually a 'rifle' in the same way the Steyr AUG, which the Irish Army uses is

Not the kind of 'mistake' someone with military training would/should make
