I want to buy some spares in the sales to replace the drivetrain in Spring.

Can somebody recommend some economic replacement rings for a compact ultra torque chainset please?

I replaced the chain @ 3500 km, what life expectancy should I expect from the cassette and chainrings?

Chainrings virtually forever. 10 years, 50,000km?

Cassette rule of thumb if you replace in time 3-4 chains for each cassette replacement.

    Thanks blorg,

I was thinking 2 to 3 at a push chains per cassette? What's considered in time?

Depends on how well you look after it but I reckon I have got 5-8k out of a chain. That is probably on the high/too-high end, I have aalso run too long (max around 20k) and needed to replace the cassette. Read here about measuring but you can also get a cheap gadget which is probably easiest.
