Quad calves

Got the cows scanned this morning.

Going grand with only a few empties and then this. Yer man scanning said he'd never seen it before.

Shes an old brass tag Friesian cow (so pre-96) about seven weeks gone. They were all with the bull this year, no AI.

Anyone ever have 4 and have them survive. Any advice on what to do and what kind of special treatment for the cow?

She'd never carry em, would she?

Quads born in a herd in Galway last year. Article states that the chances of four calves being successfully delivered are said to be around 700,000 to one.

i presume it means a cow having four calves as opposed to the four of them being born alive.

Was just reading it, it probably refers to the calves being born alive and surviving.

Shes not a very big cow by any means so she will more than likely abort. I'm not being pessimistic here just realistic.

It'd be great to see them alive though. :)
