Well it seams David Hogan the man behind the Tom Hogan motor group that closed last June(owing a lot of money), is reopening on the 15/01/10 under the banner of 'Hogan Motors' (no dealership this time), he has an ad in todays 'Galway Independent'.

    ...interesting. Where ?

I have to say, I don't like the EP Mooney-type of 'oops' resurrection with so many creditors being stung......

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

It's sickening and the only loosers seem to be the little fish creditors. But it's the same in most industries

Am I correct in saying they are related to Kilmartins of the Kilmartin's N6 Centre on the bypass in Athlone?

Normally I would agree with you all but on this occasion, I am afraid I cannot.

Dave was one of the good ones!
Dave is the son of the man called Tom Hogan and it was not easy for him when David lost the business he took over.
I can tell you that he was most decent when dealing with him and it cost Dave a lot when he went. Thank God he has his health.
He is not back but he is trying and I for one really wish to support him and all like him.
He was a great employer in his day and kind to all including supporting The rowing Clubs with Vehicles that he insured himself.
He was a great supporter of many local causes most went unannounced.

I am still driving the same car I bought in 06 from David and he looked after it for me when I had issues.

I say welcome back David, an honest broker.

Meanwhile, We should hold all the Bankers and the rest including the fool regulator Neary accountable but no, nothing.
Our Government were selling off the property and land banks wholesale to foreigners whilst our own went without. They still are and no accountability with Project Eagle. What a bunch of bent plonkers running the place.
    What a great country!
