As long as it's not a Christmas present buy a jersey and go to a few Ulster matches.... great access to the players afterwards. You have it all done for less than £200 and get to see some rugby too!

A quick glance at his feedback would seem to indicate that he is a bona fide eBayer but that doesn't mean these shirts are the genuine item - best avoided. If you really want a signed shirt you're better off getting it signed yourself and then not only will you know that it's genuine but it will be a much better momento, you having had to work to get it. :)

Was looking at a couple of these on ebay for a few weeks now and this fella seems to have a lot of singed Irish rugby jerseys for sale. What to you guys think?? What gets my alarm bells going is the amount of them he seems to sell one after another and the fact he lists all his items as private.
    Here’s the link:
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=320465754324&Category=2839&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D1

And look at the state if the jersey. Its a cheap cotton one...

The seller says that they have a certificate of authenticity.
Ask them to show a copy of it.
Come to think of it, why don't they show it in images on item's page?

We've got one or two here in office. I'll compare and come back to you.

A genuine signed shirt will sell for around €3000 in the end.

It's either a fake or he is in a position where he has access to the team (like a doctor or physio) and went around a few months ago and got about 20 or 30 jearseys signed.

Have just checked up against similar that we have here in office.
Probably genuine but not from IRFU.

That's not Gordon D'Arcy's signature anyway. I have his signature on a couple of things and it looks nothing like the one on that jersey. In fact the signature on that jersey doesn't even have the 'A' in his surname capitalised. Looks like a certain fake to me
