    Hi
We are considering taking up a deal with is on offer in Killarney Golf course. We are currently members of a smaller course nearby. It has a friendly club house and we are both involved in teams with this club. Killarney are currently offering a deal where you pay entrance fee plus sub over a number of years. It is €3000 for a couple for 10 years which includes the entrance fee which is €23000 and the yearly sub which is €1100. We would never have considered paying the 23,000 entrance as we could not afford to pay it out at once. We feel we would be able to pay the 3000 yearly. Is it a good deal ? It is a lovely place and we would play a few times a week. My OH feels he will not get on teams here as they have such a large pool to pick from and he will miss that. I am a little worried about going from a smaller club where I know everyone and have lots of people to play with to a bigger club. I know I can put my name on the timesheet on Sunday for competitions and will meet people that way. Does anyone one have any thoughts about this is it value for money ?

Last year Beaufort were offering a very good deal where you pay an annual fee (€650 I think) for two years, then if you want to stay pay your entry fee (€5000) at the start of the third year. You probably know this course as a delightful place where your OH would have no trouble getting into team matches. Maybe this is the small club you are members of ! Just a thought - I think that Killarney is very expensive in these troubled times. but there's no doubt it's a truly great place.

We have decided to go for it, We went to day and played Kileen and standing on the 18th tee box with the sun going down snow capped mountains in the background and the light reflecting off the lakes it looked lovely so I think it will be worth it.

Played Killeen as well today, you won't won't get scenery than that today.
Mental therapy. A little wet underfoot, looking forward to the new season.
You won't regret joining, money well spent.

Also played yesterday, yes a bit wet under foot but expected. Weather has been bad. Some views today, almost forgot I was playing golf! It was class out there... Best of luck with golf next year in the Club!
