Creating The most epic Irish Band of all Time.

This new genre of music will be created from the ashes of the old Irish trad
style and the epicness of that which is metal.
It will capture the essences of old school traditional Irish and also the raw ecstasy of the metal,
combining for the first time ever the fiddle and the over distorted guitar.
It will be forever known as epic irish-trad metal.
We propose that the fiddle and its fello trad instruments act as the leads
where as the guitars take rhythm roles. This means that the celtic music
is dominant and the guitar will enforce the classness with solid riffage.
In parts both the fiddle and guitar will play together in harmony.(This will make babys cry)
All we need now are people who play :

(I have had to make this easier for you to understand)

    1. Speed Metal Guitar Player
    2. A very good trad band. Thats all.

I Gary Murphy and my fellow companion Conor McCormack Will play the esciental rolls of manager(Getting gigs and taking care of business) and graphic designer(Making posters and whatnot and someday CD Covers). We have many contacts in the music industry and built up many faviours and would like to put this Style on the map.

Leave comments if your intrested and/or have Ideas to add to the greatness!

This is hilarious. So you're forming the band with a mate...

But aren't actually going to play anything.

    Who's writing the songs?

See Papa Smut, We use existing Fast Trad Music and just fix it to suit our needs. Thus creating next years Christmas no.1. When people listen to the music other music will cease to exist. ... We can play we just ant good enough for our own band!

Do you actually believe this has never been done before or are you just being ironic?

I guess your not a fan of the metal. And how are we being Ironic?
I know we have bands like the horslips kila and the dropkick Murphys(but not so much them because they are insulting to the irish).

What we want to create is a fusion of speed metal and trad. Tell me where I can hear this?

Folk metal is absolutely nothing new:

    Skyclad
    Cruachan
    Waylander
    Primordial
    Eluvietie
    Mago De Oz
    Suidakra
    Elven King
    Tuatha De Dannan

That's just some of the more Celtic ones, if you broaden it out, there are a huge number of others which would be similar. Heck, even bands like Arkona would have a fair amount of the elements you mention.

Your getting us wrong.... First thing first, where do you see us mention folk metal anywhere.. We are not talking about a few silly untalented guitar players dressing up as vikings screaming about drinking and burning towns down.... I dont know if you have ever listened to Elven King or Skyclad They just suck!... If you read what we posted we said we want to keep more the irish-trad style .... Not fancy death folk metal bands that will make you cry tears of pain more than tears of joy. Think of it like this.... great irish pub trad with the combined brillance of speed metal guitar... not speed metal as a band itsself. Just the guitar player... Understand the brilliance...

I'm not saying that setting up the band is a bad idea, in fact it's probably the type of thing I would actually listen too, just don't think that it's some sort of new unheard of genre.

O my god.... Did you listen to what you just sent me.... My god you have no idea... That is just another (CRAP) metal band playing an Irish song... If your going to be like that ya might as well send me a link to whiskey in the jar... you don't understand that which is Epic Irish trad metal....
Its going to be a trad band with a speed metal guitar player. Not a METAL BAND influenced by trad...

Many great bands have become famous outside dublin... Dublin in my opinion(MY OPINION)is a ****hole

Lads I think DonaldoX was referring the fact that its difficult to get a band together in Galway.

Its difficult to form a band in Dublin due to lack of drummers. Unless Galway is a city with a disproportionate amount of drummers, it will be hard to find one with such an odd taste in music.
