    Thanks :)

I dont think so. Arnotts are though, and one or two high street stores. Dont agree with it at all, it pulls people into work and cuts christmas too short. Christmas is pretty much the only guaranteed break some people get.

Yea I agree totally, I was just wondering because I rememeber reading a bit in the herald I think saying the majority of shops were planning on opening up!

i heard that debenhams, arnotts clearys etc were opened on the 26th. id say most places are since they need to get rid of their stuff, being such a slow year

    Check out this article http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/features/2009/1222/1224261097863.html

Brilliant piece that details when sales starting in all major shops around the country. Happy shopping!

River Island, Ilac Centre sale starts 10am on Stephen's Day. Think it's ridiculous. No one should have to go and work the very day after Christmas. There was nothing wrong with starting sale on the 27th imo.

    ^

Kinda goes with starting a job in one of these places, really. This is my first year off Christmas Day in 4 years.

But then again I work way too much.

    Urban Outfitters having a sale?

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 9,722 Mod ✭✭✭✭Twee.

They are indeed. Don't know if they're opening tomorrow, but after then it's definitely on.
http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/ All sale stuff listed. Go "Windows Shopping" :pac: get it? Browsing online...? Ah I entertain myself!

The Topshop sale is awful this year IMO. Definitely check out Urban Outfitters they have the best sales!

Has anyone been in today? What was the stuff like? Were there many bargains?

:confused:I'm kinda fed up going in to find they've just put a load of cheap ****e in JUST for the Sales. Presumably they figure in the frenzy, no one will notice?

Yeah, I was down in Dundrum today. Next sale not great, a LOT of summer/ last season stock. Jeans range not great either, loads of sizes 14 -16 but not many 10-12. Mind you I was there at 11, and doors opened at 7am so could have missed the best stuff. Doubt it though.

Zara sale was disappointing although it was 50% off, a lot of stuff like jackets for 150 still seemed pricey.

House of Fraser had some really good reductions on Ralph Lauren 50-70 percent off, but Topshop was really poor.

Might be some more bargains tomorrow, as all the shops are open.:)

Topshop are doing the same with last years summer stock being out now! That really annoys me..

Anyone know if the New Look sale is any good? I want a couple of new dresses for going out so I might check it out tomorrow

Yeah i went in anyway. Pretty disapointing. I'm looking at Sky News and they're all going mad and there seems to be great bargains. Arnotts was poor. As was Debenhams. Picked up a couple of bargains in Zara though.

For anyone looking for a bargain in sales today or tmrw, pop into Debenhams as they've slashed all VAT on sale items and new stock. For details http://www.helpmystyle.ie/debenhams-slashing-all-vat
