Whats with all the Garda going around ?

i've seen at least 4 gards cars in the past hour go by my house in a residential area, (theres only one entrance and thats the exit so its not like their passing through). This is in Clondalkin btw Cheers for any input.

i'm definitely seeing a bigger garda presence in lucan area, a lot out on foot patrol etc, which i think is because the commisioner lives in the area.
