    Hi,

I have a dell inspiron 1501 and i bought a new charger for it off ebay. The output voltage of my old charger was 19.5V but the new charger has a 20V output.
I looked at the manual for this model on the dell website and for the AC adapter the Rated output voltage is given as 19.5 +/–1.0 VDC. Is the 20V ok then???

Any help would be much appreciated as I dont want to use this charger if it going damage my laptop.

It should be fine, 19.5 +/- 1 means it will operate perfectly on anthing between 18.5 and 20.5
