    Hi there,

i recently got a Humax 9300T PVR. At the moment i am living in an apartment in Dublin with NTL cable, which has it's own decoder box. Is it possible to use the Humax in Dublin? Preferably i'd like to do away with the decoder box, but i have a feeling that this is impossible. Can i use the PVR like a primitive VHS and just record whatever is coming out of the decoder via scart? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

The 9300T is a Dvb-tor digital terrestrial PVR. But it wont work in Dublin. Its for the UK Market (MPEG2). Ireland uses MPEG4 a diffrent broadcast system. I doubt you can record from external sources such as an NTl box with it but I could be wrong.

It might work if you were in a border area or along the coast in Wexford where you might pick up Freeview (the UK DTT service).
