    Question is in the title.
Budget of around 400 to 500 Euro, might go higher if its a good deal.

I have my eye on the Philips 32PFL5604Hreduced to €479.99: http://www.philipsshop.ie/fiveseries.htm

    I'm open to any suggestions.

Just as a mater of interest, Boardies get a 10% discount in the Philips Shop, so you'd get that TV at a cracking price, check over on the Richersounds Forum for details.

to be honest 1080p vs 720p on a 32 inch is not really worth it as the screen isn't big enough to let the extra resolution show through.

There is not as much a difference, but there is a difference none the less.

I've a 32" Philips and find the BR 1080p quality brilliant, and sufficient for my needs. I compared to a 32" 720p screen and the better components and processing made it worth it for me.

True enough, all decent 32" sets at this stage ARE 1080p so you might as well get one, would personally go for a samsung 32" over the philips though, the 32B550 comes to mind, generally better black levels, and samsung are the best bang for buck lcd manufacturer at the moment, bar no-one, on picture quality that is though, sound quality is poor enough on them, it would be better on the philips, probably..

Don't need to worry about sound as I have a seperate sound system.
Where could I see the Samsung 32B550 online/in store?
    Thanks.
