Wireless Access point

    Hi there,

I am setting up a belkin wireless G router as a wireless access point.
The existing wired network is controlled by Server 2003 (DHCP etc.)
I plugged in the Wireless box to the network via a LAN port (rather than its WAN). I also disabled DHCP on the wireless box. I have also set up wireless security.

Now this is where it gets strange.
When I connect to the wireless box it does not receive an IP. It tries, times out and then chooses a 169.254. IP.

So in I went and set an alternate IP so that if the laptop does not receive an IP by DHCP it will use this static IP. Low and behold, its works and we have internet connectivity.
Its almost as if the belkin router is not forwarding the IP's from the server DHCP.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!
