    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0362225/

Has anyone else seen this recent French film? I just watched it tonight and was really impressed. It clocks in at 2hours and has French subtitles.

I won't spoil it for anyone but basically the film is crafted around a man who's wife gets murdered at a secluded spot and he becomes a suspect. Fast forward 8 years and things start to get really strange. It's a well worked plot and has some great twists and turns along the way. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to watch over the Christmas period.

If you have seen it before, lets have your thoughts.

Top notch thriller. I was engaged throughout the whole movie. Really well paced and the plot is fantastic. I would be really surprised if Hollywood don't take this movie (and subsequently rape it)

On a side note. That main actor has got to be a long lost French brother of Dustin Hoffman. The resemblance is uncanny.

    I thought so too!

Incidentally, speaking of American remakes this is oddly enough a French film adaptation of an American novel.

I loved the movie, I've actually been thinking of starting a French Thriller thread but I'm trying to think of enough examples. This was just such a slick, compelling movie.

I enjoyed it but wasn't as blown away as some seem to have been.

It's certainly worth checking out though.

a remake? Honestly is there any real need, theres not much wrong with the film as is.

Agree about the Dustin Hoffman comment, I thought the same thing .
