The First Approach

I have always had a major problem with making the first move on the ladies, by that I mean approaching them when I'm out in a pub/club and talking to them.

As a case in point this genuinely very attractive girl was giving me the glad eye on Saturday night, and gave me every opportunity to talk to her (even leaving the pub alone ahead of her friends), and even though I walked right past her I didn't have the stones to say anything.

A lot of it is a lack of confidence, and pure fear of rejection. As a result of this I'm now in my mid-twenties and I've not ever had a serious relationship, which is a pain!!

It won't solve itself, and I'm going to have to bite the bullet and work on it to fix it. So what I'm asking for here is for any nuggets of advice or any good icebreaking techniques that anyone may have and be willing to share?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, you caught my eye and I thought I'd introduce myself, My names x what's yours? (even just a Hi is grand)

Your aim it to do this 3 times on a night out, then eventually 4....then eventually 5...very very slowly raising the bar. For the first few months focus on having fun and NOT what to do next, when you get comfortable approaching and talking to women without taking a rejection personally, then you can work on what you do next!

Succeeding with women is a numbers game and the only way to get good at chatting women up is to practice, practice, practice and practice some more!

i've never been in a "proper" relationship with someone I met in a pub/club. What I'm saying is: it's not the reason you've never had a serious relationship.

Forget about meeting a stranger in a bar, with a few gargles on you(who you probably won't connect with enough to have something real), and get out there and meet people.
