unable to connect ps3 to tv

    down in my parents for christmas and brought the ps3 but they have no hd tv and cannot connect to the telly i have other cable but cant get anything to work:(

    tried scart and no joy.
    do you have to select output in the settings or smthing

    if u were using a hdmi cable and now a scart...........you must keep your finger on the standby button until it beeps twice. (had this same problem before), it resets the output.
