If your phone ever goes for repair and you could not restore it before return , Apple see its jalibroken then your warranty is null and void , but a restore before return and your fine .
Some people report wifi problems after jailbreaking a 3.1.2 with blackkra1n , but the developer of blackra1n (Geohot) claims its a Apple problem ?
Your only jailbreak option is a tethered jailbreak , if your phone looses power you will need to tether (connect) it back up to your P.C and 10secs later back to normal .

    This might help !

For me its well worth jail breaking , its a completely (improved) phone when jail broken - thats my own personal opinion

I had my iPhone jailbroken for the past 2 months as i liked the additional features and software. Unfortunately I found in the last week or so I was only getting 4hrs standby battery life so I reverted to normal firmware.
