Supposed to be spending Christmas in Dubai this year but am so worried the flight from Dublin to Amsterdam will depart late causing me to miss my connection flight in Amsterdam. Have only 1 hr 45min transfer time.
Checked today flight form dub to Ams and its been delayed by 2 hours...if this happens wed, I'll miss mine:(

Does anyone know what KLM do in this circumstances.... have tried calling them on every possible number they have listed and I keep getting Eircom answering machine saying the can't make contact.!!!

Will they rebook me on to another flight? or compensate???
(the entire booking is made with KLM as one ticket, not 2 separate tickets)

Also what does it mean if a flight is cancelled?

If it's one single ticket, KLM is obliged to look after you by either putting you on the next available flight to your destination or another airline.

1 hour 45 minutes should be fine for transferring at Schiphol should all go well. I've transferred there with much less time :)

If the flight is cancelled, they should re-route you to another airline or refund you. You would most likely qualify for some form of compensation from the airline, but it depends on the reason for the cancellation :)

I had family fly out of Shiphol on Monday. They were delayed by several hours due to weather conditions. I was flying today from a nearby airport and conditions were much better. With a bit of luck, you will not have any weather-related delays on the 23rd.
