Band Seek Singer & Guitarist

Hi all,

Well as the title says we are looking for a singer and guitarist (or someone who can do both maybe)

We are Poetic Licence, only newly formed band with myself on guitars, a drummer and bass player at present. Age range we are looking for is any really, the bass player is 18 and the drummer is 30 with myself being 25, so we are quite open to age.

Singer wise, well we want a good Rock/Indie singer, someone to sing with passion in the songs.

We are based in South Dublin (Dublin 12) and practice near to there too.

This is by no means the finished article, we are looking for members who want to come in with there own ideas etc. Its an open book, the songs above are a start (well thats what we are hoping for anyway!)

Influences wise, its Oasis, Foo Fighters, Feeder, Radiohead, Ash, Bruce Springsteen, T-Rex, Beatles etc.

So anyway, if you like what you have read get in touch. We rehearse twice a week and would love to get people down and try out with us.

Hey, to be honest your influences are right up my alley, I have a bit of Rory G, Zepplin, Hendrix, Bloc Party, Franz etc....in there too so its pretty varied!

I listened to some of the demos and had a feelin I could be a bit of help with some of them straight away.

I'm 22 and have been playin guitar for about 7/8 years, have a decent bit of gear too. I have been known to sing but have a bit of a quam about my own voice confidence wise but if it has to be done.....it has to be done!

I'd like to get a jam goin, perhaps some day before new years if people can get a free day? Maybe give me a list of a few covers you guys can play and drop me into mix to see what ya think.

Where abouts in D12 are ya? Do you have a room or is it in a house? I'm right on the Wicklow Dublin border and have a car so I could be fairly close dependin on where you are?

Heya bud, we are all in the Drimnagh area. Dub 12 isn't that big of an area so you can reach the other side to it in 5 mins drive!! lol.

We rehearse in a place on the Chapelizod Road, rehearse twice a week there at the moment with Sunday evenings being the main day.

So what do you do? Where you based?

I live in tallaght but grew up in crumlin. I play guitar or bass ( I have loads of guitar gear but got rid of all my bass stuff over the past couple of years). I'm 25 and spent alot of my teen years gigging. Gave up the band scene a few years ago but have plenty of gigging/ recording experience under my belt. So what is the current line up ATM? And do you guys jam out a few covers aswell or is it all origional? Cheers.
