lip gloss!!!

Hey guys,

I'm female and work part time in a pub, I'l cut to the chase...

When ever I wear nice shiny lip gloss to work and I'm chatting to some guy at the bar, during our brief conversation(whilst serving), he sorta licks his lips when he looks at my lips. This doesn't happen with all the lads, just a few.

Why is this? I know they do it subconsciously but its only when I wear lip gloss they do it!

Is it just a mirrored subconscious reaction to make their lips shiny or something more?

Depends, are you attractive? Seriously? I tend to lick my lips from time to time when talking to a girl, usually subconsciously, in case I kiss her I think! But I wouldn't read too much into it!

Thanks for the reply minidazzler, well I'm told by my freinds I'm gorgeous looking but most of the time i dont feel it... Typical irish cailins!!!

Jealousy, wishing their lips could be as shiny as yours Well, not really but it could be subconscious mirroring too. Like if you yawn etc, people always focus on the mouth or eyes and sometimes imitate the person they are talking to.

Everyone has little ticks, personally I touch my hair sometimes when talking to an attractive lady.

Either way, they are doing it because they find some aspect of you interesting. You dont mirror people you arnt focusing on. Though, this dosnt suggest why they find you interesting...could be good or bad.

As your friends have said you are goodlooking, I assume its the former.

Maybe you only notice it because you have chosen to notice it...ie maybe men do this all the time when speaking but you only focus or register it whenever you have altered your lips.

without being too graphic.... lips mirror another part of your anatomy...think low down and when you wear lip gloss this mirror when you get excited and this is supposed to attract males as they think well she is already ready for the kill subconsciously of course. so basically your lip gloss is working so congrats! lol

I think he wants to kiss you thats usually what happpens when its ready to go off .

a big YES to that. most of the time when we see pretty girls talking to us we want to kiss them so its just a natural thing.


or else the fact your lips look moist they are subconciously thinking their lips are too dry.

Dunno, OP, I think either you're just noticing it more when you wear lip gloss. Or, as another poster said, they're sub-conciously gettin ready to kiss you. You should be flattered really!
